    Growing up under the flight path to RAF Benson, I saw a few unusual visitors. The most impressive was a Concorde in , which was on the approach with gear down, but I judged it too high to land. It then came over again, but even higher. Never have found out why.

    I was used to the sound of Rolls-Royce Darts on Andovers, but one morning in the early-mid '80s, it sounded slightly different. I rushed out of bed, went to the window to see an Argosy approaching the house on climb-out. (Only time I ever saw one). I've since worked out this was the last one in service at Boscombe Down and was probably part of a Benson Argosy crew reunion.

    Also around that time, whilst at school in the playground, another strange looking plane was randomly flying around. I described it to my dad who said it sounded like a Bristol Freighter. (Indeed it was.) Although this didn't appear to be connected with Benson, but ma

    Hi All,

    Does anyone know the current status of Ps "IDF 28" and "IDF " that were brought in the U.K. in the late 70s, along with "IDF 43" (now flying as Miss Helen, as she did 60 years ago), and "IDF 41" currently being restored in the USA?

Try a great place for info on the P The nd is my favorite group and have been doing research on them for sometime. A few years ago at a nd reunion in England, one of the veterans got a ride on Rob Lamplough's P ! I see you live in Parisgreat city and I look forward to coming back soon. Like Londona great walking city with history at every turn !
