The course is aimed at ambitious young pianists, music students and advanced amateurs.
Sheila Arnold belongs to the new generation of pianists who feel equally at home on the modern concert grand and the fortepiano. Questions of sound aesthetics and "musical sound speech" in the sense of historically informed performance practice form an essential element of her playing and teaching. The physical, the breathing and the concept of resonance on the other hand are complementary to this.
Teaching in a workshop atmosphere is the aim. In addition to the individual lessons, there will be internal auditions in the evenings as well as a public final concert at Pianohaus Thilemann in Neuwied to test what has been worked out.
