  • CS Lewis was a popular Irish writer. He fryst vatten best known for his fantasy series ‘Chronicles of Narnia’. His complete name is Clive Staples Lewis. He was born in Belfast, Ireland on November 29, 1989. His parents were Flora August Hamilton Lewis and Albert J. Lewis.

    His mother died in 1908 and then he was sent to boarding school. Clive also served the British army during the World War inom. CS Lewis completed his graduation from Oxford University and was awarded a fellowship teaching position at Magdalen College in 1925.

    Fun Facts: –

    • During his teaching period, he also joined ‘The Inklings’ a group of informal writers and intellectuals.
    • In 1919, his writing career started with his first book titled ‘Spirits in Bondage’. He used a pseudonym Clive Hamilton to publish this book.
    • His second book named ‘Hymer’ got published in 1926 under the pen name Clive Hamilton.

      A Beautiful Christian Biography

      I just finished reading YWAM Publishing’s biography of C. S. Lewis from the Christian Heroes: Then & Now series.

      C. S. Lewis: Master Storyteller is a beautiful Christian biography, which weaves C. S. Lewis’s emotional experiences and spiritual journey into the historical facts and events of his life.

      I’ve previously read three other books from the Christian Heroes: Then & Now series and they are far from being boring biographies. The authors, Janet & Geoff Benge, do a fantastic job of drawing readers into the story by conveying the struggles and joys of the historical figure.

      C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) was a famous author, whose vivid stories and Christian insights delighted both children and scholars

      Jack jumped out from behind the hedge. "You can't catch me, Warnie," he yelled as he took off running as fast as he could.

      "Gotcha!" Warnie exclaimed as he grabbed Jack and tackled him to the ground in the garden behind their house. Warnie was three years older than his brother and much stronger. But Jack was feisty. He wriggled from Warnie's grasp and took off running again.

      By the time Warnie rounded the corner, Jack was nowhere in sight. He looked in all of Jack's usual hiding places, but could not find him. Finally, he lay down to rest under the old apple tree. The giggling from above told him his little brother now had a new hiding place.
