First, I want to show you a poster before I start, which may illustrate why many of us can benefit from meditation (shows a photo of a person and a dog showing how their brains perceive what they are seeing). If your brain is as full of as much stuff as this humans brain is, it is not easy to wake up and smile. Fortunately (or unfortunately), my brain was every bit as full as the persons in this picture. In fact many days it seemed impossible for me to wake up and smile. But now after over 35 years of studying Buddhist teachings and meditating, almost every day I can wake up and smile.
