      Hey everyone!

      My name is Ishani Patel, the current reigning Miss Northern Alberta World and I am so excited to be competing for Miss World Canada.

      I was born in India and grew up in a small town in Northern Alberta, called Fort McMurray. I moved to Alberta at the young age of 3. My biggest support system is my family, they are the most important to me. Although my parents and brother have very different interests they still encourage me to achieve more than what I can dream of. Growing up, my family and I were big travelers. We would travel every summer, each time to different places around the world. So traveling and trying new things alongside dance has become a hobby of mine. Surely, the most memorable trip was Disney World, the happiest place on the planet. Exploring has always been something I look forward to, it’s the inner sagittarius within me. Being born in an Indian household has allowed me to become bilingual in both Gujarati and English.

      Alongside pageantry, I
