Jay Griffiths (born in Manchester) is a British writer and author of Wild: An Elemental Journey, Pip Pip: A Sideways Look at Time, Anarchipelago, A Love Letter from a Stray Moon, Kith: The Riddle of the Childscape and Tristimania: A Diary of Manic Depression.
She won the Barnes & Noble Discover Award in 2002 for Pip Pip, the Orion Book Award in 2007 for Wild, and the Hay Festival's International Fellowship for 2015–2016.
Biography
[edit]Jay Griffiths was born in Manchester, England, and now lives in Mid Wales. She studied English literature at Oxford University. Her work has appeared in the London Review of Books and she has contributed to programmes on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and the World Service. Her columns have appeared in The Guardian, The Ecologist, Orion magazine and Aeon.[1]

Jaye Griffiths (born 1963) is a British stage and television actress. She played Dr. Jenny Wendle in Weirdsister College.
Griffiths trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has appeared in many television dramas, including a starring role as Ros Henderson in the BBC hit series Bugs, which ran for four series. Rare Earth Mettle doesn’t need any more publicity. Headlines started talking about Al Smith’s play before its previews were cold in the grave, and reviews have flocked in agreement of its generally disappointing outcome. An exploding controversy, a hasty statement from the top floors of the Royal Court, and even quicker name-change later, the production remains a cutting critique that unfortunately loses itself in its search for style and forceful sarcasm.
