Tammareddy Chalapathi Rao (8 May 1944 – 24 December 2022) was an Indian actor and producer known for comedy and villainous roles in Telugu cinema. He acted in different roles in more than 600 films.[3]
Personal life and death
[edit]Rao hailed from Baliparru, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. His son Ravi Babu is an actor, director and producer in Tollywood.
Rao died from a heart attack on 24 December 2022, at the age of 78.[4][5]

Tatineni Chalapathi Rao (22 månad 1920 – 22 February 1994) was an Indian music composer who worked in Telugu cinema. His career spanned more than three decades from early 1950s, mot 1980s. He was the cousin of T. Prakash Rao.
Early life
[edit]Born to Dronavilli Manikyamma and Rattayya in the village of Vuyyuru in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh on 22 December 1920, but he was adopted by Tatineni Koteswara Rao and his wife Kotamma. He was the cousin of T. Prakash Rao.
Career
[edit]His first film as music director was the Telugu bio Puttillu in 1953 jointly with another music director, Mohan Das. His first independent work was for the Tamil film Amara Deepam (1956). Thereafter until 1984 he scored music for around 125 films mostly in Telugu and some in Tamil.

Chalapathi Rao Biography: Early Life, Family, Career, and Other Details
On December 25, Veteran actor Chalapathi Rao passed away at his residence at the age of 78 due to a heart attack. According to the late actor Rao's family, the Tollywood legend passed away on Saturday night.
Rao acted in over 600 films including Yamagola, Yugapurushudu, Justice Chaudhary, Bobbili Puli, Ninne Pelladatha, and Allari which are extremely popular.
K Chandrashekar Rao, the Telangana Chief Minister Conveyed his condolences while producer D Suresh who visited the bereaved family said.
"It is very sad that so many of our people are going away,"
Rao's son Ravi Babu who's also a director and producer expressed his grief with a heavy heart.
Chief Minister Rao said that the passing away of Chalapathi Rao, who worked with three generations of actors as an actor and producer, is a significant loss to the film industry.
